Urdu Drama- Losing Its Essence And Soul

Drama is collection of several elements all together. These elements are inspirations from life and its different aspects. There is always an obvious relationship between the drama on screen and life in real.
Urdu Drama writers have earned a great name across the world in portraying themselves as natural narrator of real stories and prevailing cultures in the society.  Influential Drama writers have widely inspired the Hindi Drama tradition. This was the same era when Iranian and Turkish Drama directors started giving huge doses of poetry for additional flavor to overall drama themes.
It is believed that Urdu Drama theater has influenced the Indian drama productions in all respects. This evolution led to huge success for Indian theater all over the world. Further this evolution influenced the Indian film industry in Bombay. Successes of Bollywood films heard widely with the introduction of new film subject based on real dramas of life Pictured with music, action and romance.
Urdu Drama is still popular among the people despite the huge fan followings for film industry. With passing time, Dramas have attained new forms and traditions; the time for targeting the critical and serious societal issues is almost over. New Drama writer understanding the culture shifts are intended to produce more commercial dermatology. Commercial Drama productions have more space for the entertainment with limited scope for giving moral messages to the viewers. It won’t be wrong if we say Urdu Drama industry is losing its soul and essence. Need is for understanding the ideology of Drama pioneers who laid foundation for raising Societal Issues rather than giving the blend of glamour and style.
